There is so much to see in the historic center of Puebla but we have selected 5 must-see places that contain the charm of the Baroque Puebla and tell us the history of the city. We start in the 16th century Puebla with the cathedral, from there to the Palafoxiana Library, its incunabula books and the influence of the Viceroy of Palafox in the novohispanic life. We continue with the amazing chapel of the Rosary and its golden altars, we will visit the Victory Market and its Porphyrian past to finish the Old Convent of Santa Rosa that combines architecture and convent life and is home to the Museum of Popular Art and also the place where the mole was invented!

    Ex Convento De Santa Rosa

    Discover the history of this Dominican convent a crucial part of Novohispanic life. Get into the life of the nuns’ quarters and learn about the histories of the compound as a military barracks where French soldiers passed and then hospital for the mentally ill, refuge of revolutionaries and neighborhood. The complex also houses the Museum of Popular Art so be prepared to marvel at the art and culture of Puebla.
