Your evening begins at a relaxed wine bar in central Baku, where your guide pours the first tastings and opens up the world of Azerbaijani winemaking: the Soviet-era boom, and the grapes you'll find almost nowhere else. From there you continue to Baku's historic wine house, where the tasting continues.
You'll try six wines — reds, whites, and Azerbaijan's distinctive fruit varieties — served with local cheeses, dried fruits and nuts. A social, unhurried evening that suits wine lovers and beginners equally.

Guided Museum Tour Walk through the Baku Wine Museum’s curated exhibits to discover the history of Azerbaijani wine. Presentation of the history of wine and cultivating culture in Azerbaijan. View rare alcohol samples and vintage bottles from the Soviet period. Learn about local winemaking methods, grape varieties, and how political history (e.g., Soviet era) shaped production. Curated Wine Tasting Taste three wine varieties: a white wine, a red wine, and a dessert-style wine from the Soviet era. Each tasting is paired with a cheese plate, olives, bread, and dried fruits to complement the wines. Refreshing water is provided throughout the tasting to cleanse the palate.

Our experience at Boho Wine Room includes a guided tasting of three hand-selected local wines, highlighting the diversity of grape varieties across regions like Shamakhi, Gabala, and Ismayilli.
