The meeting point is at the Fer de Lipez office on Avenida Colón in Uyuni. Travelers arriving from La Paz by overnight bus will be picked up at the bus terminal and assisted to a nearby café. Later, our staff will transfer you to the office for check-in before departure at 10:30 am.
The tour ends in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, at approximately 1:00 pm (local time) in the main square.
Check in at the Todo Turismo Bus Office in La Paz at 8:30 p.m. before boarding your VIP overnight bus departing at 9:00 p.m. Travel comfortably to Uyuni with reclining seats, Starlink Wi-Fi, an onboard restroom, heating, polar blankets, dinner, breakfast, bottled water, and hot drinks included.
Arrive in Uyuni at approximately 7:30 a.m. aboard the Todo Turismo VIP overnight bus from La Paz. Our staff will meet you at the bus office and escort you to a nearby café, where you'll have free time to relax until returning to our office for check-in before your shared 4WD expedition begins at 10:30 a.m. Visit: Train Graveyard – Explore Bolivia's historic locomotives and one of Uyuni's most iconic photo spots. Colchani Village – Visit local salt workshops and browse handicrafts made from salt, alpaca, and llama wool. Uyuni Salt Flats – Journey across the endless white desert and visit: • Saltwater Eyes • Salt Hotel Museum & Playa Blanca • Flags of the World • Dakar Monument Incahuasi Island (Fish Island) – Walk among giant cacti while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views. Creative Photo Session – Capture fun perspective and optical illusion photographs. Sunset Experience – Enjoy a magical sunset with wine and chips. Overnight: Salt hostel in Atulcha.
Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Visit: Chiguana Desert – Cross a spectacular high-altitude desert surrounded by colorful mountains and impressive volcanoes. Ollagüe Volcano Viewpoint – Enjoy breathtaking views of the semi-active Ollagüe Volcano and the surrounding Andean landscapes. Red Lagoon (Laguna Colorada) – Admire the lagoon's striking red waters and thousands of flamingos before continuing to your hostel. Overnight: Hostel in Huayllajara or Polques, depending on availability.
Early departure at 5:00 a.m. Visit: Sol de Mañana Geysers – Walk among steaming fumaroles, bubbling mud pools, and active geothermal vents in one of Bolivia's most spectacular geothermal fields. Polques Hot Springs – Relax in natural thermal waters surrounded by breathtaking volcanic scenery. Dalí Desert – Discover a surreal high-altitude landscape of colorful rock formations inspired by Salvador Dalí's paintings. Green & White Lagoons – Admire these spectacular lagoons at the foot of the majestic Licancabur Volcano. Bolivia–Chile Border – Complete immigration and customs formalities before continuing into Chile. Transfer to San Pedro de Atacama – Board your shared transfer after crossing the border and arrive at the main square of San Pedro de Atacama at approximately 1:00 p.m. (Chilean time), marking the end of your unforgettable Altiplano expedition.
