3Farol de D. Maria Pia
Your adventure begins with a guided visit to the iconic D. Maria Pia Lighthouse, one of Santiago’s most fascinating historical landmarks. Built in 1881 and named after the Queen of Portugal, this octogonal lighthouse of red and white strips has guarded the entrance to the city of Praia for more than a century. During the guided tour, you will have the opportunity to get to know the maritime history of Cape Verde and, with luck, to chat with the friendly local lighthouse, who shares stories and curiosities about the operation of this century-old equipment. The highlight of the experience are the stops for photographs on the natural viewpoints around the lighthouse. From Ponta Temerosa, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the south coast of the island. The landscape combines volcanic cliffs with the deep blue of the sea, creating perfect scenarios for shooting, especially at night. 4Cidade Velha
In this immersive experience, travel in time through Cape Verde’s first capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site. We start with a guided tour to the imposing Royal Fortaleza de São Filipe, where you will have a stunning panoramic view over the coast and the city. Then we explore the Ruins of the Cathedral, silent witness to the 16th century, with stops for photos and historical explanations. We will walk through the historic center to Pelourinho, a landmark of colonial memory, and the picturesque Banana Street, with its colorful houses and local art.
