Your 2-day tour begins at 7:30 AM with a private pickup from your hotel in Kigali. Travel south through Rwanda’s beautiful rolling hills and countryside, arriving in Nyanza around 10:00 AM. From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, immerse yourself in the Nyanza Royal Trail, a fascinating journey through landscapes connected to Rwanda’s royal heritage. Walk through historic sites associated with the for.mer royal residence, discover traditional royal life.

2Exploring Nyanza culture and history
meet the iconic Inyambo royal cattle, and experience the connection between Rwanda’s royal history and rural communities. At 1:00 PM, enjoy a delicious local Rwandan lunch, giving you a chance to taste authentic flavours before continuing your journey.

3The Ethnographic Museum
At 2:00 PM, depart Nyanza for Huye, enjoying scenic views of Southern Rwanda along the way. Arrive in Huye around 3:00–3:30 PM and visit the Ethnographic Museum from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. Explore an impressive collection of traditional artefacts and learn about Rwanda’s history, culture, traditions, crafts, and way of life.

4Our Lady of Kibeho Shrine
Start your morning with breakfast at your hotel, then depart Huye around 8:00 AM for Kibeho, travelling through the scenic landscapes of Southern Rwanda. Arrive in Kibeho around 9:30 AM and begin your Kibeho Pilgrimage Experience. Explore this renowned spiritual and heritage destination with your Driver Guide, learn about its history and significance, and take time to experience the peaceful atmosphere of the area.

5Huye
Around 12:00 PM, enjoy lunch before continuing your journey. In the early afternoon, take part in a short local cultural experience, where you can discover traditional crafts, local food, or aspects of everyday Rwandan community life. At around 2:00 PM, begin your return journey to Kigali, travelling through the beautiful Southern Rwanda countryside with opportunities for photography and short scenic stops. Arrive in Kigali around 5:00–5:30 PM, depending on traffic and road conditions. Your Driver Guide will drop you off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, bringing your memorable 2-day journey through Rwanda’s royal heritage, hidden culture, local life, and spiritual traditions to an end.
