    Jingshan Park

    The highest spot in central Beijing. Tourists can enjoy a full panoramic view of the Forbidden City, Beihai Park, Bell and Drum Towers and modern downtown Beijing. Five Mountain Pavilions Five delicate ancient pavilions built on the five peaks of Jingshan Hill with traditional glazed tile roofs. Chongzhen Emperor’s Suicide Site A historic site on the eastern hillside where the last emperor of the Ming Dynasty ended his reign. Shouhuang Palace Complex Grand ancient imperial halls used for ancestor worship in the Qing Dynasty, now with cultural displays. Qiwang Tower An elegant two-story building at the south gate, once for worshipping Confucius. Seasonal Flower Scenery Peonies, crabapple flowers in spring and red leaves in autumn. Local residents do tai chi and walk birds here, showing authentic Beijing life.
