Itinerary

Duration: 4 to 5 hours (approximately)
  • 1
    Mayan Coral Reef

Beneath the surface, travelers explore a section of the Mesoamerican Reef system, one of the largest coral reef systems in the world. The reef is home to a wide variety of marine life, including snapper, grouper, amberjack, barracuda, and other reef species commonly found along the Riviera Maya coastline, alongside coral formations and other reef inhabitants. Guests spend the excursion observing this underwater environment while practicing responsible, guided spearfishing , widely regarded as one of the most sustainable and selective forms of fishing, since hunters choose exactly which fish they target, avoiding bycatch and minimizing impact on the reef. Travelers who prefer not to spearfish are welcome to snorkel alongside the group, admiring the reef and marine life from the surface.
