Our Rainbow Mountain tour includes early hotel pickup, round-trip transportation, breakfast, lunch, and the support of a professional bilingual guide. Travelers will enjoy breathtaking Andean scenery, colorful mountain views, and a well-organized hiking experience from Cusco. Oxygen assistance and trekking poles are available for added comfort. After visiting Rainbow Mountain, travelers will have time to explore Red Valley on their own if they choose, as an optional visit.
We offer hotel pickup from all accommodations located in Cusco’s Historic Center. Pickup time is between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM, depending on your hotel location. Please be ready in your hotel lobby 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. If your hotel is located outside the pickup area (e.g., Airbnb or remote areas), we will provide a nearby meeting point after your booking is confirmed. After making the reservation, please send us the name and location of your hotel, as well as your contact details, so we can coordinate your pickup properly. Our team will contact you via WhatsApp or email one day before the tour to confirm the exact pickup time.
The adventure begins very early with hotel pickup in Cusco, usually between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., depending on the location of your accommodation. Then, we start our journey by tourist transport to the south of Cusco (Cusipata), passing through beautiful Andean landscapes, traditional villages, and stunning mountain views. After approximately 2 hours of travel, we will stop to enjoy a local breakfast in Cusipata, perfect for recharging energy before continuing the excursion. Then, we continue by transport for about 1 more hour until reaching the starting point of the hike.
Travelers will hike through breathtaking Andean landscapes to reach Rainbow Mountain, one of Peru’s most iconic natural attractions. Along the way, they will enjoy stunning views of snow-capped peaks, highland valleys, herds of alpacas and llamas, and the unique colorful mineral formations of the mountain. Once at the viewpoint, they will have time to admire the scenery, take photos, and appreciate the beauty of this unforgettable destination.
After visiting Rainbow Mountain, travelers have the option to continue on their own to the Red Valley, an additional hike of approximately 1 more hour. This visit is optional and recommended for those who want to enjoy a less crowded landscape with unique and impressive reddish natural formations.
After the visit, we begin the descent back to the point where our transportation will be waiting. Then, we head to a local restaurant to enjoy a buffet lunch. Finally, we return to Cusco in the afternoon, at approximately 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The tour ends at Plaza Regocijo, located in Cusco’s historic center.
