Tokyo Anime Making Experience

In Japan, the home of world-famous anime, don’t just watch anime—try creating your own short animation.

This beginner-friendly workshop introduces the basic ideas behind animation in a simple and approachable way. You will learn how movement is created frame by frame, then use a simple stop-motion style method to turn your own ideas into a short animated video.

No previous experience or technical knowledge is required. This workshop is designed for beginners and is suitable for children, families, first-time participants, and anime fans of all ages. Step-by-step guidance is provided throughout the session. If a child is joining the workshop and a parent or guardian is only accompanying them without creating their own animation, the parent or guardian does not need to be included in the participant count. Please bring your own smartphone or tablet, as you will use it to film your animation during the workshop.

At the end of the experience, you can take home your finished video as a unique souvenir from your trip to Japan. You can keep it as a memory, share it with family and friends, or post your own small animated work on social media.
