Stretching across 290 acres in Austell, Six Flags Over Georgia is one of the Southeast's most iconic theme parks and it's even more impressive from above. Sweetwater Creek State Park is a 2,500-acre natural escape tucked just 15 miles west of downtown Atlanta, a stunning contrast of wilderness against the urban sprawl you can see from our vantage point. The park is home to the haunting stone ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a Civil War-era textile mill burned by Union troops in 1864. Whether you're a history buff or a nature lover, the forest canopy and creek corridors below tell a story stretching back more than 150 years.
