This 4-day Hainan road trip runs one-way from Sanya to Haikou, designed for travelers who want to experience a more layered side of the island beyond beaches, resorts, and standard sightseeing routes.
Instead of staying in one coastal area, the journey connects three distinct Hainan landscapes in one smooth northbound drive: tropical rainforest mountains, cliffside coastal roads, and wide-open sea viewpoints.
