Oishi Park Flowers – Spring: early cherries with Fuji (late Feb–late Mar). Summer: purple lavender carpets (late Jun–mid Jul). Autumn: kochia (Oct). Every scene is postcard-perfect.
Swan Boat or Fuji Onsen – At your own expense, take the swan-shaped "Swan Lake" boat (25 min) to feed wild swans and see Fuji's reflection. Or relax in a day-use onsen like Benifuji no Yu, soaking with Fuji before you.
For itineraries from October 1 to April 25 (Arakurayama Sengen Park, not Mt. Fuji 5th Station): A new Instagram-famous spot, called "one of the 21 places every photographer must visit before they die." Climb the 397 steps to see the five-story pagoda ("Chureito") with Mt. Fuji and the town below in one frame. Beautiful in spring cherry blossoms, summer greenery, autumn leaves, and winter snow. Also offers a great view of Fujiyoshida city.
For itineraries from April 26 to September 30 (Mt. Fuji 5th Station, not Arakurayama Sengen Park): Get closer to Mt. Fuji! The 5th Station is at 2,305m on the mountainside. On clear days, enjoy panoramic views of Lake Kawaguchi and surrounding areas; on cloudy days, see a stunning sea of clouds.
Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park (Feb 25 – Mar 27, 2026 / May 23 – Oct 31, 2026, 60 min): Spring cherry blossoms with Mt. Fuji; summer lavender (late June – mid-July) as part of the Kawaguchi Herbal Festival.
Lake Motosu Fuji Shibazakura Festival (Apr 13 – May 22, 2026, 60 min): Largest moss phlox festival in the Tokyo area with about 800,000 flowers. Ticket fee (approx. ¥1,100–1,400 for adults) at your own expense. Food festival also held.
Lake Kawaguchi Maple Corridor (Nov 1 – Nov 30, 2026, tentative, 60 min): Snow-capped Mt. Fuji reflected against fiery red autumn leaves.
Lake Yamanaka – Swan-shaped sightseeing boat cruise or hot spring (approx. 70 min, fee at your own expense): Lake Yamanaka is the only lake among the Fuji Five Lakes with a natural outflow, and the largest but shallowest (max depth 13.3m). Known as "Swan Lake" due to swans that migrate here from February to April to breed. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage site "Fuji-san, Sacred Place and Source of Artistic Inspiration" (registered June 22, 2013).
