Surrounded by the tower-reinforced city walls and the green of the city park, visitors believe they are between about 800 half-timbered houses in another time. Numerous restaurants and cafes as well as shops invite guests to linger and discover. Let yourself be enchanted by this small Franconian town, which, to the delight of numerous guests from all over the world, has retained its original charm.

    The late Gothic cathedral in the middle of the old town towers over all half-timbered houses. The 500-year-old hall church with its distinctive church tower is the landmark of Dinkelsbühl.

    Haus der Geschichte Dinkelsbuhl

    The former town hall now houses the dinkelsbühls City Museum. Let yourself be transported into the turbulent past of the former free imperial city and experience it over 1000 years of city history on 4 floors. Numerous exhibits and a vividly designed exhibition invite you to travel back in time. An exhibition on the grim time of witch persecution is set up in the basement and can be visited free of charge.
