Your tour begins with a scenic panoramic drive from your hotel or cruise port to the Volcanic Black Sand Beach. Along the way, pass through Basseterre, where colonial structures stand alongside lively food markets, and catch a glimpse of the War Memorial – a tribute to the island's history.
Pass by the Carib Brewery and learn about its role in shaping the development of Sea Glass Bay.
Arriving at Sea Glass Bay, travel off the beaten path and walk down a natural trail. Once you reach the shore, you'll be stunned by the striking black volcanic beach sand and its rugged coastline, shaped by ancient lava flows.
You will be given 45minutes to an hour to hunt for the beautiful mermaid tear gems on the shore line
Then travel to Timothy Hill for a 360-degree panoramic view of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, divided by a narrow strip of land.
End the day at a calm, powdery, soft, elegant beach.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Disembark your ship and walk along the pier toward the port exit.
2. Proceed through the security checkpoint.
3. Immediately after security, look to your left.
4. You will see a sign that reads “WELCOME TO MARINA VILLAGE”.
5. Your driver will be waiting in that area with a clearly visible “Island Gems ” sign.
It is only a 15 to 20 second walk from the arrival hall.
If you arrive before your scheduled pickup time:
You may wait at the meeting point until your driver arrives.
Or you can wander around the port area until your scheduled time.

The Journey to Sea Glass Bay The journey to Sea Glass Bay begins with a scenic coastal drive from Basseterre, the capital city of St. Kitts. As you travel, you'll witness a landscape where the island's colonial-era architecture blends with modern development, telling the story of St. Kitts' rich past and vibrant present. You'll pass by beautiful homes and lively food markets, enjoying the rhythm of island life before arriving at the hidden volcanic black sand beach. The Drive to Sea Glass Bay: · Scenic Route: Enjoy a breathtaking drive along the Basseterre coastline, with views of the Caribbean Sea. · Local Landmarks: Glimpse the vibrant life of Basseterre and the surrounding communities – a true taste of local Kittitian culture. · Arrival at Sea Glass Bay: The adventure ends at a unique volcanic black sand beach, where you can hunt for colorful sea glass. Once you arrive, you'll descend a natural trail to the beach below, where the real treasure hunt begins.

The War Memorial (Pass by)
Passing By: The War Memorial – A Tribute to the Fallen As we drive through Basseterre, we pass the War Memorial (The Cenotaph) – a significant historical landmark and a poignant tribute to the brave men of St. Kitts, Nevis, and Anguilla who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War I and World War II. This tall obelisk, known locally as 'The Cenotaph,' was originally unveiled in 1926 and later replaced with a grander structure in 1955, which was unveiled by Princess Margaret. It features two bronze plaques listing the names of twenty men from World War I and six men from World War II who gave their lives in service. Three tombs lie in front of the obelisk – each constructed from the stone of one of the three islands: St. Kitts, Nevis, and Anguilla. As we pass, take a moment to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who served.

Timothy Hill – Where Two Seas Meet Stop at St. Kitts the southeastern peninsula, Timothy Hill offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view. From this elevated lookout, you'll witness something few places on earth can offer – the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other . The contrast is striking: the Atlantic’s deep blue, choppy waves crash against the shore, while the Caribbean side remains calm and brilliant turquoise .
