This is more than a stone carving workshop — it is a chance to step inside a real working stonemasonry workshop and become part of Brač’s living heritage.
Guided by a certified master stonemason, you’ll work with local Brač stone using traditional hammer and chisel techniques. Instead of simply watching the craft, you’ll experience it with your own hands and create a stone relief to take home.
Small groups allow for personal guidance and a genuine connection with the craft. At the end, you’ll receive a personalized “Stonemason for a Day” certificate — a lasting reminder that, for a few hours on Brač, you didn’t just visit the island’s stone tradition. You became part of it.

Meeting and pickup
Meeting point is at Kameni otok workshop in Postira. Look for a stone workshop with visible stone blocks and working area. Free parking is available nearby. Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the start time.
What to expect
Discover the story of Brač stone and the centuries-old craft that has shaped the island for generations. After a short introduction and demonstration, you’ll choose your own piece of local stone and learn how to work it using traditional tools — a hammer and chisel.
Guided by a certified master stonemason, you’ll carve your own small stone relief and experience the craft through your own hands.
At the end, you’ll take home the piece you created yourself — not just a souvenir from Brač, but your own piece of its living heritage.
