At Kiku-Masamune, you will learn why Nada sake became so famous while viewing traditional sake-brewing tools and the brewing process. You can also enjoy sake tasting and browsing the gift shop.
At Sakura Masamune, you will explore exhibitions from a sake brewery with about 400 years of history. See old sake-brewing videos, sake bottles, signboards, and labels, then enjoy sake tasting and browse souvenirs at the shop.
You will observe the modern sake-brewing process through glass windows and experience the atmosphere of moromi preparation. At the tasting corner, you can compare different sake flavors and purchase limited-edition sake or souvenirs.
After learning about Japanese sake, enjoy dinner like a local at a long-established izakaya in Sannomiya. Your guide, a Kobe-based Japanese language teacher, will explain izakaya etiquette, useful toast expressions, how to order food, and Japanese food and drink culture in clear and friendly English. Dinner will be held at a traditional local izakaya in Sannomiya, where you can enjoy fresh seafood from Akashi, Japanese sake, and Kobe’s rich food culture.
