Tesshu-ji Temple – A Sacred Legacy of the Tokugawa Clan Discover a historic temple bearing the Tokugawa family crest, the Mitsuba Aoi, and home to an 800-year-old Thousand-Armed Kannon. Experience traditional Zazen meditation and sutra chanting in a peaceful setting before an ancient Bodhisattva. Ring a historic temple bell that survived WWII, and receive a personalized Goshuin (sacred seal), with your name written in Japanese kanji. Please note: You will need to remove and put on your shoes several times. Slip-on shoes are recommended.
