Tenerife: Pick A Pearl Experience (With Jewellery Setting)

Unlike a typical activity stop, this is an immersive and educational pearl experience that includes the creation of a finished jewellery piece. Participants take part in a hands-on activity, selecting an Akoya pearl oyster from a pool and witnessing the reveal of a genuine pearl inside.
With guidance from the expert team and interactive touchscreens, participants discover the unique characteristics of their pearl — size, colour, shape, surface and lustre — before seeing it set into a simple yet elegant jewellery design, featuring a leather cord and silver clasp. Optional setting upgrades allow for further personalisation, making each piece as individual as the experience itself.

What to expect

Begin this truly unique experience by fishing for an Akoya pearl oyster from our pool, set beneath a spectacular pearl tree. Using a net, you’ll choose your oyster and watch as it’s opened to reveal your beautiful, real pearl inside.
After the reveal, you’ll receive a personalised certificate and get to discover your pearl’s unique characteristics — size, colour, shape, surface and lustre — with guidance from our friendly team. Multilingual interactive touchscreens also let you explore further to discover what makes each pearl truly unique.
As part of the experience, your pearl is set into a simple and elegant piece of jewellery, featuring a leather cord with a silver clasp, which is included. You may also choose to explore additional jewellery setting options at the end of the experience to further personalise your piece.
This experience uses real oyster shells with a specially created setting inside, without the use of live oysters.
