We stand apart from other Dana Point activities because your eBike tours blend scenic adventure with a true local’s perspective of the area. Each tour is led by Julian, a lifelong Dana Point resident and naturalist with over eight years of experience who has guided thousands of guests along this coastline. We take riders through Dana Point’s most iconic coastal locations—Doheny State Beach, Boneyard, Dana Point Harbor, Baby Beach, Capistrano Beach Park, Hole in the Fence Beach, and the Dana Point Headlands—stopping along the way to share local history, marine ecology, and insider tips on food and activities.
We meet at Pedego Electric Bikes in Dana Point to select the bikes, sign the release forms and practice riding before starting our adventure around Dana Point
As we ride up toward the Dana Point Headlands, the path climbs gently and opens into some of the most breathtaking views in the entire region—looking down over Dana Point Harbor, the marina, and the wide expanse of the open Pacific. Along the way, we’ll stop at scenic overlooks where you’ll learn about Dana Point’s history, from its early days as a trading and hide‑dropping port to its transformation into one of California’s most iconic coastal communities.
As we ride into Dana Point Harbor, we’ll follow the waterfront toward the Ocean Institute, where the Beach Stairs give us a stunning overlook of the old Killer Dana surf break and the open Pacific. From there, we’ll cruise around Baby Beach and continue past the newly redeveloped shops and restaurants before heading back toward Doheny State Beach along the shoreline path.
We ride to Doheny State Beach As we ride toward Doheny State Beach, we’ll follow the shoreline right alongside the jetty at Boneyard, where you can watch longboarders glide into one of Dana Point’s most mellow surf breaks. From there, we’ll cruise onto the oceanfront boardwalk, passing the big grassy picnic area, volleyball courts, and all the classic beach activity happening on the north end. Continuing south, our path takes us through the campgrounds, where oceanfront sites sit just steps from the sand and you’ll get a close-up look at the quieter, more natural side of Doheny—including tide pools, coastal habitat, and the future home of the beach’s “living shoreline” restoration.
As we ride into Capistrano Beach Park, we’ll follow the shoreline past wide sandy stretches and open ocean views, taking in the relaxed, uncrowded vibe that makes this part of Dana Point feel like a true locals’ beach. Continuing south, we’ll slip through the iconic Hole in the Fence pathway, where the trail opens directly onto a quiet, wave‑washed strip of coastline—giving us a close, immersive look at the raw, natural edge of Capo Beach before we continue our journey.
