We invite you to discover Rapa Nui in two days full of history, culture and unique landscapes!
Through two Full Day tours you will tour the island from end to end, combining archaeological sites, volcanoes, caves, beaches and the emblematic moai to know the different facets of Rapa Nui.
In "El Camino de los Moais" you will follow the story of these impressive figures, from their origin and construction process to the places where they were raised. A tour to understand their meaning, discover how they were created and know fundamental part of the history of the island.
In "Ancient Rapa Nui" you will approach the traditions and way of life of the ancient Rapa Nui people. You will know their organization, beliefs and customs as you walk through scenarios that allow you to understand how they lived and how their culture developed over time.
An experience to take you a deeper and more authentic look at Rapa Nui.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The pick-up point is only available for accommodation around Hanga Roa, if your accommodation is outside the perimeter a meeting point will be informed the day before the activity.
We can pick you up outside the office tickets of Rapa Nui National Park, specifically outside the Artisan Market "Hare Umanga". The guide will be waiting for you along with the van to start the activity. Specific hours will be indicated the night before.

1Ahu Vaihu
An ancient ceremonial altar where several moi remain toppled in front of the sea, as they were left after the internal conflicts of the island. A place that allows you to feel history in its most authentic state.

2Ahu Akahanga
Ceremonial place where fallen moi rest and where you can know how the ancient clans of the island lived. Here you will learn about the daily life of each family group.

3Rano Raraku
The sacred quarry where the island’s moai were born, with hundreds of sculptures in different stages of carving distributed throughout different parts of the quarry. A striking setting that reveals the ingenuity, dedication and mystery behind these monumental figures.

4Ahu Tongariki
The largest ceremonial altar on the island, with 15 majestic moai rising in front of the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the most iconic places in Rapa Nui and perfect setting to feel the greatness and mystery of this ancient culture.

5Ahu Te Pito Kura
A sacred site that is home to one of the largest moai transported on the island and the famous round stone considered the "navel of the world", which is credited with having magnetic energy.

6Ahu Nau Nau
One of the best preserved ceremonial altars on the island, with moai that preserve original details and look into Rapa Nui.

7Anakena Beach
The most famous beach of Rapa Nui, with white sand and turquoise waters surrounded by palm trees. A perfect place to relax, enjoy the scenery and live a different experience.

8Ana Te Pahu
Rapa Nui’s largest volcanic cave, formed by ancient lava tunnels that run beneath the surface of the island. A fascinating place where we can enter and live an experience in darkness.

9Ahu Vinapu
A unique ceremonial site in Rapa Nui, known for its impressive finely assembled stone walls, reminiscent of Inca construction technique. A place that surprises by its architectural precision and invites reflection on the mysteries and cultural connections of the ancient world.

10Ahu Akivi
A unique ceremonial altar on the island, famous for its seven lined moi’s facing directly towards the ocean, something unusual in Rapa Nui. They are believed to represent the seven explorers sent by legendary king Hotu Matu’a before the island’s colonization.

11Puna Pau
A small volcanic crater where the red stone used to carve the pukao, the characteristic headdresses of the moai, was extracted.

12Rano Kau
An impressive volcanic crater with an interior lagoon covered with vegetation, considered one of the most spectacular landscapes of Rapa Nui. From its edge you can enjoy unparalleled panoramic views and feel the immensity and natural force that defines the character of the island.

13Orongo
Ancient ceremonial village located on the edge of the Rano Kau crater, center where clans prepared for the Birdman competition. A place full of symbolism where we will learn more about how the leadership of the island was organized between clans.
