When you arrive at the kimono shop, please speak to a staff member at the checkout counter (cashier). Our guide/staff will meet you there and escort you to begin the experience.
What to expect
Make the most of your travel time with an authentic kimono transformation at MEGA Tansuya inside Haneda Airport Garden, directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3—ideal for a layover, extra time before departure, or a memorable start right after arrival.
This is not a typical “kimono rental.” Tansuya is a nationwide reuse-kimono specialty shop, and the Haneda store offers a surprising range—from formal kimono to casual styles—so you can experience the real depth of kimono culture in one place.
After dressing, you can turn your kimono moment into a deeper cultural memory by selecting one (or more) experiences:
Professional photoshoot with an on-site photographer (studio-style shooting inside the store)
Matcha experience (served by staff; you can also try whisking your own bowl if you wish)
Japanese dance experience (Nihon-buyō)
Shrine visit + photo time nearby (available upon request; schedule-dependent)
