  Seljalandsfoss

  Seljalandsfoss is one of the most photographed natural wonders in Iceland: an elegant waterfall that falls 60 meters into a moss-covered pool. You can follow the path behind the waterfall curtain, where the view (and the light mist!) is unforgettable. Just a short walk away is Gljúfrabúi, a waterfall hidden inside a narrow canyon, a place you must see if you like secret spots.

  Skogafoss

  Continue east to the imposing Skógafoss, where the Skógá river falls 60 meters over an ancient sea rock cliff. Go up the stairs to the observation deck for a panoramic view of the coast, or stay down to capture the rainbows that usually appear in the fog. Skógafoss has inspired countless legends, including one about a chest of gold hidden behind the waterfall.

  Solheimajokull Glacier

  Easy 2-hour guided tour on the glacier with crampons and ice gear provided on Sólheimajökull glacier with an experienced glacier guide. The Sólheimajökull glacier is a tributary of the powerful Mýrdalsjökull and is surrounded by some of Iceland's most magnificent volcanoes. During the summer, a glacial lagoon forms in front of the glacier, which only adds charm to the place. (This activity is included in the tour price)

  Reynisfjara Beach

  On Reynisfjara beach, the Atlantic Ocean meets ancient lava flows. Walk on black volcanic sand like jet, marvel at the geometric basalt columns of Reynisfjall and watch the waves crash against the sea stacks Reynisdrangar in the open sea. Your guide will remind you to keep a safe distance from the water: the surprise waves here are very strong.

  The picturesque town of Vík í Mýrdal is situated under dramatic cliffs and houses cozy cafes and a beautiful church on a hill. Take your time to have lunch, have a coffee, or buy souvenirs. On clear days, the view of Reynisdrangar from the village is impressive.

  Relax and enjoy the light and the changing landscapes as you head west, towards Reykjavik. Your guide can make short stops for photos or to use the restroom along the way. Arrive again at your hotel in the afternoon with unforgettable memories of the South Coast of Iceland.
