Experience the real Dominican countryside on this ATV and Buggy cultural tour in Punta Cana. This is not a non stop ride or theme park experience, it is a guided rural route with multiple stops.
Ride through off road trails with conditions that may be muddy or dusty depending on the weather. Visit cultural and natural locations, including local product tastings, a cave, and Macao Beach, conditions permitting.
This tour follows an official route shared by multiple operators and is done in a caravan style group.
Local independent vendors may be present at each stop, they are not affiliated with the tour, and any purchase is optional.
Shared transportation included, timing may vary.
Pickup is available from resorts in Cap Cana, Punta Cana, Bávaro, Macao, and Uvero Alto.
We do not offer direct pickup from residential areas, including Verón and Friusa. Guests staying in residential areas, Airbnbs, or private accommodations will be assigned a nearby meeting point for pickup.
For hotels and resorts, pickup is from the designated hotel pickup area or lobby, according to each property's access policy. Some resorts may require pickup at the main entrance or an authorized meeting point.
You will receive your exact pickup time the night before the tour.
Same-day bookings are accepted and include transportation, subject to pickup availability.
Guests may also choose to arrive directly at the ranch using their own transportation.
Please be ready at the confirmed pickup point at the scheduled time. No-shows are non-refundable.
Pickup from your hotel lobby (not at the security gate). You will be transported in a shared shuttle (open safari truck or air-conditioned minibus), picking up guests hotel by hotel. During the transfer, you’ll get a glimpse of the Dominican countryside along the coast and the local lifestyle between resorts. This is a shared transportation service, not a private transfer, and travel time may vary depending on your hotel location.
Arrival at a Dominican ranch located in the Macao area, where multiple operators follow the same official buggy route regulated by the Ministry of Tourism. At the ranch, you will complete the waiver form, receive a safety briefing, and do a short driving test before starting the tour. Optional items such as protective glasses, scarves, and phone covers are available for purchase. These items are not included and not required to participate in the tour.
Continue to Los Hoyos del Salado, a natural cave formation that has become a popular stop for visitors exploring the countryside. You will have the opportunity to walk down into the cave and take photos inside this unique environment. Due to its popularity, there may be lines and other visitors on site. Local vendors may be present in the area offering souvenirs and refreshments. These are independent and not affiliated with the tour, and any purchases are optional.
Visit Macao Beach, one of the most well-known public beaches in the area. You will have time to take photos, walk along the shore, and, depending on ocean conditions, swim in the sea. Please note that swimming is only allowed when conditions are safe, as strong waves and currents may occur. Local vendors are commonly present on this public beach offering souvenirs, drinks, and snacks. They are independent and not affiliated with the tour, and any interaction or purchase is completely optional.
Return to the ranch after the buggy route. Here, you will have the opportunity to view and purchase your photos (if taken during the tour) and collect any personal items or purchases. Photos and media services are provided by a third party and must be collected on-site, as they are not available after leaving the ranch. Afterward, you will be transported back to your hotel using the same shared shuttle service.
