What to expect

Join a 4-hour guided experience to truly live like a local. Begin by exploring a traditional wet market, where you’ll uncover unique Sichuan spices, seasonal vegetables, and intriguing local ingredients—and even choose two mystery items to cook later.

Step into a real Chongqing home for a hands-on cooking class. Learn to prepare three signature dishes: Mapo Tofu, handmade dumplings, and crispy “wolfteeth” potatoes, along with the ingredients you picked from the market. Sit down to share a warm, family-style meal with your host.

After eating, immerse yourself in authentic cultural traditions: enjoy a tea tasting featuring Yunnan black tea and raw Pu’er, then try your hand at Chinese paper-cutting. Your finished artwork will be framed on the spot as a special souvenir.
