Trade the standard sightseeing stops for a day of real activity in Snowdonia. Travelling from Manchester in a small group of just 5, you'll paddle beneath Wales' highest mountain, drive one of the country's most spectacular roads, and hike around a glacial lake framed by towering peaks.
The day starts with a stop in Bethesda for lunch or supplies, before heading to Llyn Padarn at Llanberis for a guided kayak session beneath Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) itself, with Dolbadarn Castle's ruined tower watching over the water. From there, travel through Pen-y-Pass to a favourite viewpoint over the surrounding peaks, before finishing with a guided walk around Llyn Ogwen, one of the most beautiful glacial lakes in Wales.

Meeting and pickup
Our tours depart and return from the short stay car park at Manchester Picadilly train station. If you are in the station, just head down the stairs to where the taxi rank is and you will see our electric vehicle.

1St. Asaph Cathedral
Your first stop is the historic cathedral city of St Asaph. Visit one of Britain's smallest cathedral cities and admire its beautiful medieval cathedral while learning about over 1,400 years of Welsh history.

2Bethesda
Stop briefly in the former slate-mining village of Bethesda. This is an opportunity to purchase lunch, snacks or drinks before heading into the heart of Snowdonia National Park.

3Llyn Ogwen
Experience one of the most beautiful locations in Wales. Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, Llyn Ogwen offers the perfect setting for an easy guided walk of approximately 5 km. Unlike many sightseeing tours, this experience gives you time to immerse yourself in the landscape rather than simply viewing it from the roadside. Your guide will explain the area's fascinating geology, wildlife and Welsh folklore along the way.

4Snowdonia-Eryri National Park
Continue along one of North Wales' most spectacular mountain roads before stopping to admire breathtaking views of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales' highest mountain. This is one of the finest panoramic viewpoints in the national park and a fantastic opportunity for photographs.

5Castell Dolbadarn

6Castell Ewloe
Finish the day with one of North Wales' best hidden gems. Hidden within peaceful woodland, Ewloe Castle is rarely visited compared with Wales' more famous fortresses, making it a wonderfully atmospheric place to explore before beginning the journey back to Manchester.
