Kyoto Wellness Cooking Class Bento or Fermentation

2 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

Experience Japanese wellness food culture in a small-group cooking class in Kyoto’s leafy Kitayama area. Set in a 50-year-old machiya-style building just 2 minutes from Kitayama Station, it offers a calm local setting away from the busy city center.

Choose between two hands-on experiences: making a seasonal Japanese bento or learning about fermentation through koji, miso, and miso ball making. You will cook with seasonal ingredients and learn about mindful food presentation and everyday Japanese food culture.

The class is held upstairs in your cooking space, with a wellness cafe downstairs where guests can relax before or after the experience. An English recipe and a small gift are included.
