    Terelj national park

    Gorkhi-Terelj National Park

    Once you meet the guide and driver and complete the registration process, the tour will begin. First, drive to Tsonjin Boldog, home to the world’s tallest equestrian statue of Chinggis Khan. This impressive monument offers panoramic views of the surrounding steppe and fascinating insights into Mongolian history. Continue to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, a scenic area known for its dramatic rock formations, alpine landscapes, and river valleys. Visit the famous Turtle Rock, followed by a 30-minute horseback ride to Aryabal Meditation Temple. From here, enjoy a short hike up the hill to reach the temple, where peaceful surroundings and sweeping views await. Later, visit a Mongolian nomadic family to experience their traditional lifestyle and learn how they prepare dairy products. Taste local specialties such as airag (fermented mare’s milk), curds, and milk tea. In the evening, transfer to a tourist camp for dinner and overnight stay.

    After an early breakfast, travel to Elsen Tasarkhai, also known as the Mini Gobi, a unique landscape where sand dunes meet grasslands and rocky hills. Upon arrival, enjoy a two-humped camel ride across the dunes. Check in at a tourist camp and relax for the night under the wide Mongolian sky.

    After breakfast, travel to Tuvkhun Monastery, one of Mongolia’s most sacred and remote Buddhist sites. Ride on horseback through forested trails to reach the monastery, which sits high on a mountain and offers stunning views over the surrounding wilderness. After this rewarding adventure, continue to Jaran Tsagaan Hot Springs to relax and unwind in the natural mineral waters. Overnight at a nearby camp.
