Your private Mercedes and your own English-speaking driver collect you at your hotel in Lucerne in the morning. You cross the Swiss border into Alsace and by late morning you are standing in Strasbourg — no train changes, no timetables, no carrying shopping bags across platforms.
Strasbourg is the official Capital of Christmas, and it has held the title honestly: the Christkindelsmärik dates from 1570 and is the oldest Christmas market in France. More than 300 wooden chalets fill eleven squares of the Grande Île, under the Great Christmas Tree of Place Kléber and the illuminated Gothic cathedral. You explore it at your own pace, with time for mulled wine, bredele biscuits, Alsatian crafts and a proper lunch.
In the afternoon your driver takes you 70 km south to Colmar — six separate markets, coloured timber-framed houses, and the lamplit canals of Petite Venise, the quarter that inspired the village in Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

Meeting and pickup
Your driver contacts you by WhatsApp or SMS the evening before with his name, phone number and the exact pickup time. On the day he arrives 5–10 minutes early and waits at the entrance of your hotel or address with a sign showing your name — please keep your phone switched on.
Pickup anywhere in the Lucerne area is included: your hotel, a private address, Lucerne train station (Bahnhof Luzern), Schwanenplatz or any bus stop in the city. Just send us the full address after booking and we confirm it.
Pickup from Zurich Airport or from a hotel in the Zurich area can also be arranged on request — tell us before booking and we will confirm it.

Your driver drops you right at the edge of the old town, so you step straight into the Christmas market. Strasbourg is the official Capital of Christmas: the Christkindelsmärik has been running since 1570 and is the oldest in France, with more than 300 wooden chalets spread across eleven squares. You walk the Grande Île at your own pace — the Great Christmas Tree on Place Kléber, the illuminated Gothic cathedral and its astronomical clock, the canals and half-timbered houses of La Petite France — with time for mulled wine, bredele biscuits, Alsatian crafts and lunch. Seventy kilometres south, Colmar is the most photographed Christmas town in Europe and the highlight of the day. Six separate markets fill the old town: Place des Dominicains under the church windows, the market of the Koïfhus, the children's market at Petite Venise and the covered market hall. You walk streets of coloured timber-framed houses — Maison Pfister, the Ancienne Douane — and the lit-up canals of Petite Venise, the quarter that inspired the village in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. You stay until the lights are at their best, then your driver takes you back
