Day 1
Arrival & Introduction to Nairobi

After arrival in Nairobi, we head to your accommodation and check in. Depending on your arrival time and energy level, the day continues at a relaxed pace. In most cases, we share a welcome dinner together, offering a gentle introduction to the journey and the days ahead. If time allows, we may also enjoy a light introduction to Nairobi’s culture and everyday life. The focus is on a smooth, comfortable start where you can feel safe, welcomed, and ready for the experience.

Day 2
Safari Experience

Today is one of the key highlights of the journey. Enjoy a private safari in Nairobi National Park, operated with a licensed local safari company using professional guides and proper 4×4 safari vehicles for comfort and the best possible wildlife experience. You can choose between a half-day safari (approximately 4–5 hours) or a full-day safari (approximately 8–10 hours), depending on your preferences and energy level. The experience can also be tailored, whether you prefer a relaxed pace, birdwatching, or a stronger focus on specific wildlife. Nairobi National Park offers excellent opportunities to see giraffes, rhinos, buffalo and many other species. While sightings are often very good, nature is unpredictable and specific animals cannot be guaranteed. For shorter safaris, the day continues with a relaxed dinner at a local restaurant. For full-day safaris, a meal is included during the safari experience. After the safari, the rest of the day is kept flexible for relaxation.

Day 3
Elephants, Giraffes & Culture

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust
We visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage, where rescued baby elephants are cared for and gradually prepared for life back in the wild. The visit takes place during a fixed time window and offers a unique opportunity to observe the elephants up close while learning about the conservation work behind their rehabilitation.

Giraffe Centre
We continue to the Giraffe Centre, where you can see and hand-feed endangered Rothschild giraffes up close. The experience is calm, interactive, and educational, offering insight into conservation efforts in a relaxed and memorable setting.

Later, we visit Bomas of Kenya to experience traditional music and dance performances. The show presents Kenya’s diverse cultures through rhythm, movement, and storytelling in an engaging and authentic way.

Day 4
Flight to the Coast & Arrival in Watamu

We travel from Nairobi to the Kenyan coast by domestic flight. After arrival, we continue toward Watamu, known for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful beaches. The journey marks a clear transition from city life to the calm rhythm of the coast.

Depending on timing, we enjoy a light introduction to Malindi, a historic coastal town with a unique seaside atmosphere and mix of cultures. You may see local beaches, streets, and everyday coastal life before we continue to Watamu.

Nature & Gedi Ruins Exploration

We visit a local nature center where you can see a variety of animals such as snakes, turtles, lizards, chameleons, and crocodiles. It offers an accessible and interesting look at local wildlife.

Gede Ruins
We explore the Gede Ruins, an ancient Swahili settlement hidden within a forest. As we walk among the remains of houses, mosques, and pathways, you get a feel for the history and mystery of this once-thriving coastal town. Monkeys are often seen in the area, adding to the unique atmosphere.

Day 6
Marine Park & Ocean Experience

We spend the day at the marine park along the Watamu coast, known for its clear waters and rich marine life. Depending on conditions, the experience may include snorkeling, dolphin spotting, and time out on the ocean. You can swim and explore the underwater world or simply relax and enjoy the scenery from a boat. The day also includes a relaxed meal in a beautiful coastal setting, typically featuring seafood, with a chicken option available, as well as a calm canoe trip through stunning mangrove forests. The experience is designed to be enjoyable and flexible rather than rushed.

Relaxed Coastal Day in Watamu

We enjoy a relaxed day in Watamu at your own pace. You may spend time at the beach, swim in the ocean, explore small local shops, or simply unwind in the coastal surroundings. We are happy to accompany you during the day if you wish, or give you space to enjoy the experience independently. The day is designed to be flexible, comfortable, and unhurried.

Return to Nairobi & Departure

Watamu
After a relaxed morning, we visit a local spice or fruit farm, offering a glimpse into local produce and everyday life on the coast. We then enjoy a final shared lunch before beginning the return journey from the coast back to Nairobi. We assist with transfers and help ensure a smooth return to the airport or your hotel, ending the journey with lasting memories of Kenya’s wildlife, culture, and coast.
