    Day 1

    Nairobi- Amboseli National Park

    You will depart early in the morning after breakfast towards Amboseli National Park and arrive in time for lunch. Your guide will take you on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is synonymous with two particular things —majestic herds of elephants and glorious views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular parks in Kenya. One of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. On a clear evening, you can catch a view of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro. Also to be found in the Amboseli are herds of wildebeest, buffaloes, gazelles, and many other wildlife. Lions and cheetahs can also be seen here. There is also a chance to visit the local communities in their nearby villages. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

    You'll wake up early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit with a packed lunch provided. An optional visit to a Maasai village can be planned after breakfast (at an extra cost). The visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is possibly the best wildlife area in the whole of Africa to experience elephants at close range. Left carefree, elephants feeding and bathing in the swamps must form the highlights of any safari. Your dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

    After breakfast, you will load your luggage in the vehicle and get ready to bid Amboseli goodbye. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and be dropped off at the airport or your hotel.
