Rome: Pasta and Tiramisù Cooking Class near the Vatican

2 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

This class takes place inside Pasta Roma, a real pasta kitchen where fresh pasta is made every day, not in a rented room or a hotel kitchen. You learn from chefs who work with dough daily, in the same space where it's made.

Its location near the Vatican makes it easy to combine with a morning at St. Peter's or the Vatican Museums. You can go straight from sightseeing to the kitchen without crossing the city.

You cook a full Roman meal, from fresh pasta to tiramisù, in one relaxed session. Small groups mean everyone gets hands-on time at their own station instead of just watching a demonstration. You go home with the recipes and a personalized certificate, so you can recreate the dishes for friends and family.

What to expect

Join a professional chef at Pasta Roma, a working pasta kitchen a short walk from the Vatican, for a hands-on class where you cook a complete Italian meal from scratch.

After a warm welcome and a short introduction to Italian food traditions, you'll step up to your own workstation. You'll start with dessert: whisk fresh mascarpone cream, dip savoiardi biscuits in espresso, and layer your own classic tiramisù, which chills while you cook.

Next, you'll make fresh egg pasta dough by hand, knead it, and roll it out the traditional way. Your chef will show you how to cut fettuccine and how to fill and seal ravioli, sharing easy tips you can use in your own kitchen at home.

While the pasta cooks, the chef prepares the sauces and explains the secrets behind Roman favorites. Then everyone sits down together to enjoy the meal you've made, with a glass of wine or a soft drink.

Classes run in small groups, so you'll get plenty of personal guidance, and no cooking experience is needed. You'll leave with the recipes sent to your email and a certificate to remember your time in the kitchen.
