The shortest route on Google Maps has a sharp curve and is hard to drive. Instead, turn left behind Sanogawa Clinic and follow the road. As you approach, you’ll see a stone wall with plants on top. Go up the slope with the Hagijian sign to reach the parking lot.

What to expect

Enjoy a private Japanese dance experience taught by a highly skilled instructor who began training at age four and is an active professional teacher. She specializes in teaching children and brings over eight years of cultural arts experience in Japan and the U.S., including kimono dressing, tea ceremony demonstrations, and cultural workshops for international guests.
Although the instructor does not speak English, a certified kimono dresser (your host) will be in the room to provide interpretation, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for all participants.

In this 90‑minute lesson, you will learn traditional dance movements and practice a complete short piece. The dances taught—arranged by difficulty—include “Sakura Sakura,” “Haru yo Koi,” and “Togetsukyo.”
All costumes (yukata), tabi socks, and dance props are provided.

The session takes place at Hagijian, a traditional Japanese house with a serene atmosphere.
No personal items are required, and up to six participants can join the lesson.
