Looking for a unique experience in Tokyo? Join us for a hands-on leathercraft workshop at our small atelier in Nakameguro.
Using high-quality Tochigi leather, one of Japan’s most respected vegetable-tanned leathers, you can create your own leather item with guidance from a professional Japanese leather craftsman.
No experience is necessary. Most of our guests are beginners, and we will guide you step by step from start to finish.
Come with friends, family, or your partner and choose the item you would each like to make. Everyone can enjoy creating something different while sharing the same workshop experience.
Our atelier is located just a 6-minute walk from Nakameguro Station on the Hibiya Line, with easy access from central Tokyo.
Advance reservation is required through our dedicated booking form.

What to expect
15 min
Meet your local leather artisan and learn about the workshop and the card holder you’ll create. We’ll also introduce you to Japanese leathercraft and the materials used.
Discover the Leather & Choose Your Thread
15 min
Learn about the leather used for your card holder and its unique characteristics. Choose your favorite thread color to personalize your piece.
Prepare and Assemble the Leather
20 min
Prepare the leather pieces and carefully glue them together. Your artisan will guide you step by step, so no previous leathercraft experience is needed.
Hand-Stitch Your Card Holder
50 min
Learn the basics of traditional saddle stitching and sew your card holder by hand. Enjoy chatting with your local artisan about Tokyo, travel, food, and local recommendations while you work.
Finish, Polish and Take It Home
20 min
Smooth and polish the leather edges for a beautiful finish. After a final check, your handmade card holder is complete and ready to take home as a memory of your time in Tokyo.
