Today you enter the most exclusive alpine area in the Canadian Rockies. With private permits secured, we bypass the public lottery for a day of unparalleled hiking. You’ll choose from the area’s legendary routes: the serene shores of Lake O’Hara, the heights of Lake Oesa, or the world-renowned Alpine Circuit. -Driving time: 1 hr -Duration: 9-12 km (5.6-7.5 mi), 4-6 hours -Elevation: +150 m / -200 m
Choose between two classic Lake Louise hikes offering unique perspectives on this breathtaking hamlet. Options include the Plain of Six Glaciers or the Lake Agnes and Beehive routes. You head west into Yoho National Park for one of the most dramatic days of the trip. Starting near Takakkaw Falls, the trail climbs steadily alongside waterfalls and icefields before opening onto a high alpine bench with expansive glacier views. -Driving time: 1 hr -Duration: 10-20 km (6.2-12.4 mi), 5-7 hours -Elevation: +/- 700 m (2,300 ft)
A steady climb leads to the historic Paget Lookout for a bird’s-eye view of Kicking Horse Valley. From there, we continue to Sherbrooke Lake, a quiet, forest-framed alternative to the region’s busier glacial lakes. -Driving time: 1 hr -Duration: 10 km (6.2 mi), 4-5 hours -Elevation: +/- 550 m (1,800 ft)
Your final full hiking day explores a landscape shaped by both destruction and renewal. After making our way through forests regrowing after wildfires, the trail opens into cliffs, waterfalls, and views of the Stanley Glacier.
