The journey continues with an accessible hike for beginners to Pé do Monte, an extinct volcanic mountain offering stunning views over Pico Mountain, Faial Island, and the surrounding vineyards and forests. Along the way, explore the historic Pocinho Bay, once an important coastal port, and visit the ruins of Aldeia do Mingato, one of the first settlements in this part of the island.
