Would you like to discover what it feels like to breathe underwater? With Try Scuba from SouthEast Divers you can live your first diving experience in Puerto Morelos without prior experience or certification.

You will start with the SSI digital material and a theory class to learn the equipment, signals, and basic skills. After you will practice with the guidance of your instructor before diving in a reef near the beach, to a maximum depth of 5 meters with a ratio of 2 students per instructor. You will have time to adapt and enjoy the marine environment with attention to your comfort and the care of the reef.

The experience lasts approximately 4 hours and includes all the equipment, training, an immersion, and an SSI digital certification upon completion. It is aimed at people aged 15 and over who know how to swim comfortably and float. It is an opportunity to try diving and discover if you want to continue towards the Open Water certification.

Meeting point

Go to the main pier of Puerto Morelos, and next to its entrance, you will find our dive shop.

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What to expect

You will take an academic session to learn more about diving, then you will have a practical session in a controlled environment such as a pool or the shallow part of the seashore to familiarize yourself with the equipment before doing your dives on a very shallow reef near the shore.
