We meet at the Alpine Ride store, Directly across the street from the entrance to Hotel Weisses Kreuz.
Start at the Alpine Ride shop to get fitted for an e-bike and helmet before starting the journey towards Interlaken Ost along the beautiful turquoise Aare River.
Ride along the shores of Lake Brienz and through picturesque farmland, where you may spot some of Switzerland’s famous local cows. As you follow the scenic lakeside route, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to stop for photos against the stunning alpine backdrop. Along the way, your guide will share interesting stories and insights about the lake before leading you through the charming village of Bönigen.
Pass through a former military airfield on the way to Wilderswil and discover Switzerland’s long history of neutrality. After riding through the village of Wilderswil, you’ll arrive at the historic Unspunnen Castle ruins, where you can step inside and explore the remains of this medieval landmark.
A short climb of approximately 90 meters leads you up to the Heimwehfluh viewpoint. At the summit, you’ll enter the historic tower, where panoramic views open out over Interlaken and Lake Thun.
