Please arrive at the Tea Cottage Resort & Spa front desk 15 minutes before the scheduled class time. Our staff will greet you and guide you to the tea plantation where the session begins. If you are arriving from Nawalapitiya town, it is a scenic 15-20 minute drive to the resort
What to expect
You will start with a guided walk through the plantation to learn the art of picking 'two leaves and a bud.' Then, under the guidance of our expert tea makers, you will experience the traditional handmade steps: withering, rolling, and drying your own tea leaves. The session concludes with a professional tea-tasting experience where you can savor various premium grades, including black, green and white teas, while enjoying the breathtaking mountain views. It’s a perfect blend of education, culture, and nature.
