The itineraries above are simply our recommended Chengdu day tours, but we are happy to customize the experience based on your interests and travel style. Feel free to contact us and share your ideas — we will suggest the most suitable plan for you.

Besides necessary expenses such as attraction tickets or transportation, our pricing is mainly based on the guide’s hourly service fee. This means that within the booked time, we will do our best to support almost any reasonable request you may have, giving you maximum flexibility and a deeper, more personal Chengdu experience.

As China now relies heavily on mobile payment instead of cash, we are also happy to help with Alipay and WeChat Pay purchases during your trip. Your guide can assist with local payments, and you can simply reimburse the amount directly afterward.

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi)

No trip to Chengdu is complete without meeting the city’s most famous residents — the giant pandas. For many travelers, pandas are not only a symbol of China, but also the most iconic part of Chengdu itself. The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is one of the best places in the world to see giant pandas up close. Here, you can watch adult pandas relaxing, eating bamboo, and enjoying their daily routines, while also having the chance to see playful baby pandas. The park has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for walking, taking photos, and experiencing Chengdu’s laid-back lifestyle. During the visit, your English-speaking guide will also introduce the habits of giant pandas, their growth and daily life, as well as China’s ongoing panda conservation efforts, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of these amazing animals beyond simply seeing them. This tour lasts around 3 hours and is an ideal experience for first-time visitors to Chengdu.

    Kuanzhai Alley

Kuanzhai Alley is one of the best places to experience Chengdu’s traditional culture and relaxed local lifestyle. It is also one of the city’s most well-preserved historic neighborhoods. Here, you can explore traditional Southwestern Chinese architecture, old alleyways, and local culture that are very different from the styles commonly seen in Beijing or Shanghai. While Beijing is known for its imperial history and Shanghai for its modern international atmosphere, Kuanzhai Alley offers a slower, more local, and deeply authentic Chengdu experience. Walking through the historic streets, you can feel the unique rhythm of Chengdu life while discovering tea houses, local shops, and cultural traditions that have been preserved for generations. During the tour, your English-speaking guide will introduce the history of Kuanzhai Alley, helping you gain a deeper understanding of the city beyond the typical tourist experience.

    Renmin Park Teahouse

Renmin Park is one of the best places to experience the real everyday life of modern Chengdu residents. While Kuanzhai Alley reflects Chengdu’s traditional history and architecture, Renmin Park shows how local people truly live today. Here, you will see locals relaxing, drinking tea, playing mahjong, dancing, and spending time with friends in a peaceful atmosphere. For many Chengdu residents, sitting in a traditional tea house for an afternoon is an important part of daily life. During this walk, you can experience Chengdu’s famous tea culture firsthand while also trying traditional ear cleaning services and simple local massages — unique experiences that reflect the city’s relaxed lifestyle. Compared with fast-paced cities like Beijing or Shanghai, Chengdu is famous for its slower rhythm and focus on enjoying life.
