The Kurushima Kaikyō Bridge, the world’s first triple suspension bridge, is one of the highlights of the Shimanami Kaido. As you enjoy cycling smoothly across this magnificent series of bridges on an E-cross bike, you can take in breathtaking views of one of Japan’s three fastest tidal currents flowing below, along with spectacular scenery of the surrounding islands.The tour begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 12:00 PM. It departs from the JR Imabari Station Cycling Terminal and concludes at the JR Imabari Station Cycling Terminal, where the tour ends and participants are dismissed.

What's Included

E-cross bike rental fee, helmet rental fee, and cycling guide accompaniment fee.
Lunch is not included.

What to expect

Explore the scenic highlights of the Shimanami Kaido by E-cross bike!
Cross the world’s first triple suspension bridge, the Kurushima Kaikyō Bridge, and descend with your bicycle by elevator built into the bridge tower to Umashima Island for a unique island landing experience. After visiting sightseeing spots on Umashima, continue cycling to Yoshiumi Iki-Iki Kan on Oshima Island.

Along the way, there will be photo stops, rest breaks, and guiding by your cycling guide at key points of interest. Although this is an Active Tour (AT), the use of E-bikes minimizes physical strain, allowing participants to enjoy the experience comfortably and casually.
