Old Delhi Rickshaw Ride
Then the part everyone remembers: a cycle-rickshaw ride through the old lanes of Delhi, past spice stalls, silver shops and street food you'll want to come back for. In the evening you'll drive to Agra, about three and a half hours, and settle in for the night.

Taj Mahal Sunrise, Agra Fort, Baby Taj & Mehtab Bagh

Taj Mahal
You'll be at the Taj Mahal for sunrise, which is honestly the best way to see it. As the light shifts, the marble changes colour right in front of you. Your female guide tells you the real story behind it, and if you'd like, a professional photographer can capture you there.

Agra Fort
After breakfast you'll explore Agra Fort, the huge red-sandstone palace where the Mughal emperors ruled. This is where Shah Jahan spent his final years looking out at the Taj he built.

Itmad-ud-Daula
You'll also see the "Baby Taj", a smaller marble tomb covered in delicate inlay work. Many people find its detail even more beautiful than its famous neighbour, and it inspired parts of the Taj itself.

Mehtab Bagh
You'll end the day at Mehtab Bagh, a garden right across the river from the Taj. It's the quiet, uncrowded place to watch the sun go down behind it.

Day 3
Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri & Abhaneri

Panch Mahal - Fatehpur Sikri
On the way to Jaipur you'll stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a beautifully preserved city the Mughals built and then walked away from more than 400 years ago. Your guide fills in the strange, fascinating story of why.

Chand Baori, Abhaneri
A little further on is the Abhaneri Stepwell, one of the largest and most striking stepwells in India, with row after row of steps dropping thirteen storeys down. You'll reach Jaipur by evening.

Day 4
Jaipur Sightseeing & Drive to Delhi

Amber fort
Your last full day is all about Jaipur, the Pink City. You'll start at Amer Fort, riding up the hillside by jeep, which is half the fun. Inside are mirrored halls, painted gateways and wide views over the lake below.

City Palace of Jaipur
Next is the City Palace, still home to Jaipur's royal family. You'll wander its courtyards and museums while your guide shares what life here was really like.

Jantar Mantar - Jaipur
Close by is Jantar Mantar, an open-air observatory from the 1700s. The giant stone instruments still tell the time and track the stars, and they're far cleverer than they first look.

Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind
You'll stop for photos at the Hawa Mahal, the pink honeycomb palace with 953 little windows, built so royal women could watch the street below unseen.

Jal Mahal
One more photo stop at the Jal Mahal, a palace that looks like it's floating on the lake. After that you'll drive back to Delhi, around five hours, and we'll drop you at the airport or wherever suits you.
