Meeting and pickup
Meet in front of the Pier 21 Immigratiin Museum (across the street adjacent from the train car. So you can spot me - look for my telescoping flagpole with mini blue flag, I will have my hair in a side braid, wearing a lanyard with my name on it & "TOUR GUIDE", and a headset/microphone on.
The tour concludes at the Halifax Town clock (at the foot of Citadel hill)

Outside Canada's historic immigration gateway, we'll discuss the millions of immigrants, refugees, and service members who passed through Pier 21, and how their stories helped shape modern Canada. We'll also explore the history of North America's oldest continuously operating farmers' market near by, discover how it evolved alongside Halifax's waterfront. (15-20min)

1Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk
Discover how tall ships, ocean liners, rail travel, Grand railway hotels, etc. worked together to make Halifax Canada's Atlantic gateway, connecting passengers and commerce from across North America to Europe.

Maritime Museum of the Atlantic (Pass by)
Outside the museum, we'll connect Halifax's stories of the Titanic, the Halifax Explosion, Halifax's shipbuilding and 3 historic ships - uncovering their roles in Canada's naval, scientific, and maritime history, resulting in Halifax became one of the world's great naval ports; while highlighting why the museum is well worth exploring after the tour.
