Under the guidance of Portuguese chef Leopoldo Garcia Calhau, participants will learn to make (and eat) the classics from his former restaurant, A Taberna do Calhau. By experiencing new flavors and combinations, participants will be able to recreate the recipes at home.

What to expect

This is a workshop of the classics of the old restaurant Taberna do Calhau, by Portuguese chef Leopoldo Garcia Calhau. Come and learn to make the following dishes: the Camarão and Tremoço, the Pescada, Egg and Coentros, the Drunk Duck, the “Alentejaninha”, the Bacalhau Sames and the “Sherem” and the Cebola and Caramel Doce. First we worked and then we had lunch together!
