The excursion is an overland experience designed as an authentic alternative to classic boat trips, ideal even when weather and sea conditions are not favorable. In a single tour we combine archaeology, history, panoramic trekking in the Porto Conte Park and Sardinian cuisine.

To make the experience special is lunch in a real home restaurant in the Alghero countryside: not a traditional farmhouse, but a private house where a local couple welcomes guests, offers traditional dishes and Guides a pasta workshop to prepare seadas.

    During this guided tour, travelers will explore the archaeological site of the Nuraghe Palmavera, one of the most important nuragic complexes in the Alghero area. They will discover the ancient stone towers, the remains of the village and the fascinating history of the Nuragic civilization, with explanations on everyday life, architecture and prehistoric heritage of Sardinia.

    During this stage travelers will explore a historic area linked to the Second World War, including anti-aircraft positions, bunkers and ancient military tunnels. Accompanied by the Guide, they will be able to observe the remains of the defensive structures and, for those who feel like it, cross some tunnels, living a suggestive experience between history, nature and views of the Alghero hinterland.

    From Monte d’Olla travelers will start a scenic trek of about 30 minutes to reach Monte Murone. The route crosses a suggestive natural environment and leads to a panoramic point with a wonderful view of the Porto Conte Park and the Coral Riviera. Once arrived, there will be a stop to enjoy an aperitif with typical Sardinian products, immersed in nature and in the silence of the Alghero landscape.

    In this stage, travelers will be welcomed in a home restaurant immersed in the Alghero countryside, where they can live an authentic experience related to Sardinian cuisine. In addition to enjoying a traditional lunch with typical local dishes and local wines, they will participate in a pasta workshop where they will prepare with their own hands the famous seadas, one of the most loved desserts of the Sardinian tradition.
