At Countryside Roots, travelers get an up-close monkey encounter along with a walk through the property's butterfly garden — the only one in the Puerto Plata area. The grounds also feature a working Dominican plantation with cacao, avocado, and mango trees, giving guests a real taste of the countryside. A traditional cigar-rolling demonstration is also available on site.
