Unlike big boats with 30+ people, we keep groups small (max 12-15 for the water part, even if the van holds 20) for personal attention and to protect the reef. Your certified local guide knows exactly where turtles feed in Akumal Bay and will teach you how to observe them respectfully and safely, without touching or chasing.

Pickup details:

Pickup at your hotel lobby in Playa del Carmen / Playacar. Please be ready 10 min before the assigned time. Exact pickup time will be confirmed 24h before via Viator message / WhatsApp. Look for a white van with our company logo.

What to expect

The transportation van will arrive at your hotel lobby at the scheduled pickup time, usually between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. A professional guide wearing a blue uniform with the company logo will welcome you and assist you throughout the experience. Upon arrival at Akumal Bay, you will receive a safety briefing and snorkeling equipment before entering the water. Enjoy the opportunity to swim alongside sea turtles in their natural habitat while exploring the beautiful marine life of the Mexican Caribbean. After the activity, transportation will take you back to your hotel.
