After dressing, step outside and explore Kyoto in style. Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Ninenzaka, and Sannenzaka are all within walking distance. The shop also has a garden where you can take photos before heading out.

Rental Kimono Okamoto Kiyomizu Shop is located on the main approach to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, just a 1-minute walk from the temple. The shop is on the lively Kiyomizuzaka street, surrounded by souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to find while walking toward Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
What to expect
Everything needed for dressing, including undergarments and dressing accessories, is included in the rental, so there is no need to prepare anything special in advance. Our experienced staff will carefully dress each guest, making the experience easy and enjoyable even for first-time kimono wearers.
After getting dressed, you can head straight out to explore Kyoto in your kimono. The Kiyomizu Shop is conveniently located near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, and Yasaka Pagoda, making it an ideal starting point for sightseeing and taking memorable photos.
Booking in advance allows you to secure your preferred visit time and makes it easier to plan your sightseeing schedule for the day. Advance reservations are especially recommended on weekends and during busy sightseeing seasons.
