Transnistria is one of Europe’s most unusual destinations, yet even many visitors never discover its remarkable collection of Soviet monumental art.
Departing from Chisinau, this private tour brings together more than 30 mosaics and 10 monumental bas-reliefs hidden across Bender, Ghisca, Tiraspol, Blizhniy Khutor and Sucleia.
Created mainly between the 1960s and 1980s, these artworks once decorated factories, schools, cultural centres, sports facilities, bus stops and public buildings. While many similar works disappeared elsewhere after 1991, dozens have survived here almost unchanged.
No museums, queues or entrance tickets – just a journey through rarely visited cities, industrial districts and villages, exploring forgotten Soviet art with a local guide.
Free pickup from Chisinau is included. Pickup from Bender and Tiraspol is also available. Your guide Andrew will contact you via WhatsApp or Viator messages after booking to confirm the exact pickup location and departure time.
