Hardly any region of Chile combines such a variety of landscapes and experiences in such a confined space. Between the snow-capped peaks of the Andes and the wild Pacific coastline lie vineyards, pristine nature, waterfalls, lagoons, volcanoes and traditional villages. The Mediterranean climate ensures pleasant travel conditions almost all year round.

Unlike many other regions of the country, central Chile is easily accessible from Santiago. Arrival is without a domestic flight by train, bus or private transfer and allows a relaxed start to your holiday.

If you want to discover the real Chile away from the well-known tourist routes, you will find here a successful combination of nature, culture, enjoyment and hospitality. A region full of contrasts that surprises with its authenticity and diversity.

    We will pick you up from your arrival in Talca and accompany you to Lodge Casa Chueca. During a tour you will discover the lovingly landscaped botanical garden, the tropical house with its exotic plants and the small museum, which offers exciting insights into the nature, culture and history of the region. In the afternoon we visit one of the traditional wineries of the Maule region and get to know the wine landscape of the valley better. We end the day with a dinner together. There are regional specialities and a vegetarian alternative to choose from.

    Today we discover the impressive coastal landscape of the Maule region. Along the coast we observe the distinctive bird rocks with their pelicans, dolts and cormorants, as well as the sea lion colonies resting on the rocks off the coast. Afterwards we visit the famous dunes of Putú, considered the largest sandy landscape in Chile. If you like, you can take a hike through the dunes and enjoy the unique nature of this coastal region. In the evening we return to Lodge Casa Chueca. Alternate journey : If you wish, you can use the historic narrow gauge railway from Talca to Constitución. Your guide will be waiting for you at Constitución train station and will accompany you on the coastal program from there. Return to Lodge Casa Chueca together.

    Andes & condors

    Today the journey takes us to the spectacular Andean landscape on the border with Argentina. We visit impressive waterfalls and a turquoise high-mountain lagoon, whose intense colors contrast with the barren mountain world. Along the way, vast, desert-like landscapes, mighty volcanoes and, with a little luck, circling condors await us, hovering majestically over the valleys of the Andes. Numerous viewpoints invite you to enjoy and photograph the unique natural scenery of the Maule region. In the late afternoon, we will return to Lodge Casa Chueca. On request, we can end the day with a cosy barbecue in the lodge's garden. For vegetarians, of course, a vegetarian alternative is also available.

    After a hearty breakfast in the midst of the magnificent nature of Casa Chueca, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the lodge once again. Then we will take you to Talca bus station or train station, from where you can continue your journey through Chile individually.
