Located north of Shenzhen Civic Center on Futian Central Axis, Central Book City is a key cultural landmark famed as the world’s biggest single-floor bookstore. We’ll walk across its rooftop toward Civic Center.
Right next to Central Book City on Futian Central Axis, it is Shenzhen’s iconic cultural landmark designed by master Arata Isozaki. Its colorful glass facade carries traditional Chinese Five-Element ideas, paired with striking golden tree-shaped ceiling frames inside. Boasting top-tier natural acoustics and a giant local pipe organ, it hosts regular classic concerts. We pause briefly here to admire its artistic architecture amid our city-walk journey.
Shenzhen Children’s Palace, located in Futian CBD, is a landmark science and culture center for kids. Opened in 2004, it features futuristic architecture with interactive science exhibits, a 4D cinema, and a planetarium. Perfect for family visits and fun learning experiences.

As the core landmark on Futian Central Axis, Shenzhen Civic Center stands for the city’s symbol, linking Lotus Hill and downtown CBD. Its iconic 480-meter wavy roof supported by a yellow round tower and a red square tower looks like a roc spreading wings, a classic blend of Chinese philosophy and modern design. Open spacious squares, wonderful weekend night light shows and prime central location attract countless travelers to sightsee and take photos on our city walk route.
Located in Shenzhen Futian CBD, Taiping Finance Tower is a distinguished city landmark. With stylish architecture and smart design, it owns a bright sky atrium and spacious interiors. As a LEED Platinum green building, it sits close to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange with convenient transport, embodying the vitality of the local financial district.
Southern Fund Tower (SBF Tower) is a 200-meter skyscraper in Futian CBD, Shenzhen. Designed by Pritzker Prize winner Hans Hollein, it features a unique stacked form with three sky gardens. Completed in 2018, it serves as the headquarters for Southern Fund and Bosera Fund. A landmark blending modern architecture with traditional Chinese garden elements.
The Shenzhen Stock Exchange Tower stands 254 metres tall in Futian CBD. Designed by OMA, it features a distinctive 36-metre elevated podium. This bold design creates ample public space on the ground floor, making it a striking financial landmark of the city.
Ping An Finance Center, standing 599 meters in Futian CBD, is Shenzhen’s tallest and China’s second tallest skyscraper. Its 116th-floor Free Sky observation deck offers 360° views of Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
